Hi! I am Rosie!! I came from a home where I knew I was very loved for almost 30 years. My Mom passed away and my Dad was 86 and was struggling to care for me & my brother, George. A family member contacted Soft Landings and brought us to stay with the flock. Upon arrival, we all get full bloodwork and a visit to a Certified Avian Vet. Bird Mom was told I have severe arthritis and metabolic bone disease. She worked tirelessly to correct the MBD and increase my mobility over the years. When you get to be my age, you forget how old you are, but I’m around 35 years old. I love getting head scritches and being sung to. Become my virtual family by adopting me for $45 per month (or one time yearly donation of $540).

My name is Buddy. I was bought by someone who didn’t understand that I wasn’t going to be snuggly like a kitten so she gave up on me and listed me on craigslist. When I didn’t sell, she marked me down and labeled me a "Black Friday Special." A wonderful group of people on Facebook pooled their money and paid for me to go live at Soft Landings. When Bird Mom took me for my “Welcome to the flock” vet appointment, they discovered I had a huge liver with terrible liver values and possibly cancer. That was when Bird Mom made the decision to give me a permanent home. My diagnosis was about 5 years ago and I’m doing wonderful.....I’m very happy here! Buddy is the proud virtual family member of the Minnesota Companion Bird Association!

My name is Lucy. I journeyed to Soft Landings all the way from Alaska! I was just supposed to be boarded while my Former Bird Mom went on an amazing trip to Paris. Once I arrived, mom shared that I had episodes of unpredictability where I had hurt her and she was kind of afraid to bring me back home. So.......I just kind of stayed.....Then we found out my Former Bird Mom passed away. I’ve been at Soft Landings for about seven years now. Prior to finishing the purchase, there will be a place to comment, and you can inform The Birdhouse to mail them to Soft Landings and the name of your adopted bird. 

With the recurring paypal set up, The Birdhouse will mail a toy box each month without any further action from you.
